Hertz
5905 W Sahara Ave UNIT A, Las Vegas, NV 89146, United States

Shelby American’s heritage center (one of the best free attractions in Las Vegas) displays classic high-performance vehicles, but driving one is becoming easier. In a three-year deal, the automaker and Hertz will offer custom rentals. Furthermore, you can rent a Mustang Shelby GT500 (with more than 900 horsepower) and drive it down the Strip or on highways outside Vegas. Harry Reid International Airport has a Hertz counter. EVolve Rentals is also the first carbon-neutral car rental company in the U.S. with Teslas.

Seven Magic Mountains
S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054, United States
775-329-3333
This large-scale public work is 10 miles south of the Strip on I-15. The 30-foot-high neon-painted limestone totems look like neon ice cream cones rising from the desert floor. It’s an awe-inspiring installation but in an otherworldly way. Instagram influencers are the landmark’s biggest fans, but art lovers of all stripes will enjoy it. It will highlight the vast, beautiful desert beyond the Strip. Moreover, the Nevada Museum of Art, which commissioned the piece with New York’s Art Production Fund, plans to restore and display it for another five years (it opened in 2016 and had been scheduled to be dismantled in 2021).

The Chandelier
3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States
702-698-7000
When you enter a three-story lounge with a 2-million-crystal chandelier, you’re in Las Vegas. Each floor has its own vibe, but our favorite is the second, inside the chandelier, where bartenders concoct magic from foams, tinctures, purees, garnishes, and hard-to-find spirits. Join the partygoers on their way to or from The Cosmopolitan’s restaurants or Marquee Nightclub, and be prepared to spend.

Boulevard Pool, Cosmopolitan
Boulevard Tower, 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S Level 4, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States
702-698-6797
The Cosmopolitan’s three pools are some of the greatest in Las Vegas, with the largest being the private Boulevard Pool. There are cabanas, daybeds, bars, and poolside snacks available at the multi-level pool, which offers unobstructed views of The Strip from the hotel’s fourth floor. During non-concert hours, the pool deck is transformed into a lively concert venue, but even during daylight hours, the public space is packed to the gills with entertaining events.

High Roller
3545 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109, United States
702-322-0593
The High Roller is higher than the London Eye and Singapore Flyer. You’ll climb 550 feet above The Strip in a glass-domed capsule. There’s a bar before boarding and another inside if you reserve an open-bar experience. If you feel guilty about taking the kids out of school to see Vegas, schedule the S.T.E.M. family field trip guide to learn about its architecture and technology. No matter whatever ride you choose, you’ll get 360-degree views of a stunning environment.

The new theater at Resorts World has a fantastic residency lineup, up-close sightlines, and a high-tech sound system, and it pushes the boundaries for VIP seating. Michael Bublé’s current six-show run featured dinner-theater-style seating with champagne. Top pre-show VIP upgrades include a tequila toast with Katy Perry in a themed hospitality room, margaritas during Luke Bryan’s pre-show acoustic performance, and a wine toast and tasting with Carrie Underwood.

Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures tours
268 Lakeshore Rd, Boulder City, NV 89005, United States
+18004553490
The best way to observe the Hoover Dam is from the Colorado River. If you need evidence, try snapping a good photo from the dam itself. Lake Mead Mohave Adventures’ Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures tours have uncommon security permission to reach within a quarter mile of the site. The shorter Postcard Tours whizz about on motorized rafts with up to 20 visitors and guides offering insights on the dam’s history and creation. Along the route, you may witness Bighorn sheep, birds leaping across the water, and hot springs running into the river. A lengthier “Hoover Dam Raft Tour” includes lunch and travels to Willow Beach.
